I received an email that ToysRus are selling and promoting Ouija boards as an appropriate ‘game’ for children 8 years and up. To make it more attractive- they are now making a ‘pink’ version for girls, while the ‘original’ version is for all children.
I would love to hear what people think about this. I remember hearing about Ouija boards when I was young, but other than on movies, I never saw one. When I married my first husband in 91, a group of us were having a conversation about them one night, and one of my friends decided to buy one on a whim. We played with it, and in the beginning I thought it was just everyone being silly, but later I came to realize that it was something else moving the pointer when it said things that others couldn’t have known.
I’ll admit- it freaked me out, and I stopped keeping it in my house, and I was an adult. I haven’t touched or thought of it since until I saw this article, and it makes me wonder how anyone could think that these things are ok for children. I don’t agree with them at all, but what people do as adults is their own choice, but children? Seriously?
I’d love to know what y’all think on this subject..

More adults should be making better decisions for their children and educating them about such things. Great education is teaching your children about things advertised on the boob tube. I don’t mind my children watching good cartoons on TV, it’s the commercials I hate!!!

Very true Beth!! You would be surprised at the things you see here on TV at night, and it surprises me at how easy people are about those things. It blows my mind.
Oooh and I need to email you- I took a picture of a Hello Kitty wallet that I saw today and wondered if y’all found one for Laci, or if it was one that she’d like.
