I graduated high school in 1985. That year, We Are the World was my class song. Fast forward 25 years later, and a re-make has been made of We Are the World, to help raise money to help those in Haiti.

I loved the old version, and I love the new one. I think it’s so amazing that it happens to have been made in the year of my 25 year high school reunion.

Earlier last year one of my best friend’s sister had Lasik sugery. I never had any idea what that involved, but I saw her the next day and she was ‘business as usual’. She had no pain to speak of, and said that she thought anyone who could benefit from the surgery should have it.

I have someone else near and dear to my heart who is considering having the Lasik surgery done at Stahl Eye Center, and I’d love to know your experiences with it. I love how far technology has come over the years.

This morning I heard on the news that “phone booths” are practically extinct in New York City. When citizens of NYC were polled and asked how many phone booths they thought still existed in the city, the responses ranged from 200 to several thousand.

The reality? Four. For a city that size, I’d say that’s definitely on the verge of extinction. As a little added tidbit of information, the phones inside the booths are operated by Verizon.

Across the pond in the UK, the famous “British RED Phone Booths” have been cut by 1/3 in recent years.

Makes me wonder though, where on earth is Clark Kent is going to go from mild-mannered citizen to “Superman” once they’re all gone?

I was browsing through the ‘cool facts’ application on my iPhone, and came across today’s ‘COOL FACT’. I’m not exactly sure if this is a ‘cool’ thing or not, but it’s definitely something that I find interesting.

What about you?? I wonder what else is in those vaccines that we don’t know about?

Vaccines contain formaldehyde, ethylene glcol (antifreeze), phenol (disinfectant / pesticide), and aluminum.

Yesterday, I added this new application to my iPhone called, you guessed it- Cool Facts. It is filled with very interesting, sometimes odd, but very cool little facts.

I thought that others may find random facts as interesting as I do, so I decided to share a few.

Feel free to share some of your own random, cool facts in comments.
